| This property is on Route 4 (Bemis Heights). During the Lilac Administration (approximately 2001), Councilmen Ken Petronis & Artie Baker participated in the purchase of this property ($70,000) for a future town park. Petronis and Baker refer to it as "Riverfront Park." Petronis wants to put picnic tables on the property so the people can use it. The water you see in the photo, however, is NOT the river. This is the water that accumulates on the land during every major rain storm and for months after the winter thaw. |
